I realized this morning that yesterday’s update on Catie’s surgery went onto a new page instead of where I wanted it to be (I’m pathetically blogging inept) – so I’ll make this quick. Her surgery went smoothly, without complications, and went as well as they hoped it would. She’s still on IV antibiotics and pain killers and may come home this evening or tomorrow.

I’m so glad that the surgery went well. Looking forward to hearing all about Catie once you bring her home. Be prepared… emotionally and physically. Easier said than done, for sure!

Thank you, Jakesmom. Catie comes home tomorrow; they wanted to keep her the extra night to keep her quiet, but she’s eating and drinking water. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s her who has had to do the hard part, but, oh dear, the cowardly, squeamish part does get the better of me.
