Dog Daze at the Park

We celebrated Catie’s 16-month ampuversary hard, all weekend, with copious treats (we never did get around to the green beans, I’m sorry to say). Catie was in pretty good form on Saturday, despite a healthy gusty wind. Some running, some stick chewing, some smiley faces. Some ball throwing and retrieving for Riley.

I’m putting Catie’s spike in energy to the Tramadol.

The news last week that the cancer had returned was a significant blow. To me. To my husband.

Catie, however, doesn’t seem overly concerned at all so we’re taking our cues from her and are going to do our humanly best (and I’m not saying it’s going to always be easy) to take each day one at a time.

P.S. Thank you for everyone’s support. Again.

  4. Congratulations to Catie for having her 16 month anniversary like my Indy! I pray for you all that Catie has very many happy moments!
We were also blown away in January (after 1 year being cancer -free)when we found out the cancer was back. Indy told us not to worry because he was going to live his life to its fullest with so much love & happiness. And…he continued doing so for 4 more months. I know he has had a tough 10 days…but not for one moment did he stop enjoying life in-between his naps…not for one moment did he stop his Indy kisses!! Enjoy each & every day with your Catie and we send much love…

  5. Carmen,

The pictures are wonderful. Catie is such a beautiful sweet girl.

I seem to be a bit short winded these days but I wanted to send Catie a very happy ampuversary wish. But more than anything I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Catie is just poetry in motion. You too, Riley, but she’s prettier.

That stupid cancer. I know it sucks for your folks, getting that news, but you and I both know that it’s nothing that will keep us from making the most of every day, no matter what we feel like.

May every day be full of smiles and celebrations! Cheers to a beautiful spring and summer in the great white north. We love you.

  7. Catie is a beauty! Wow! Riley is too. I’m sorry that the cancer is back. Enjoy the snuggles and celebrate every day with her 🙂
